Malaria is commonly spread by mosquitos and is very common in tropical and sub-tropical impoverished regions of the world. It is a highly common disease with no known vacine. Prevention of malaria comes in the form of taking preventative drugs and using mosquito nets and bug repellent especially for mosquitos. If you are traveling to an area that has a high rate of malaria incidenses take all necessary precautions to prevent becoming infected with malaria. Awareness of areas in the world that are endemic to malaria is a start for savvy travelers.
